Endorsed Initiatives

TIS INTEC Group collaborates with initiatives to promote sustainability issues.

UNGC (United Nations Global Compact)

TIS—and by extension, the TIS INTEC Group—signed on to the U.N. Global Compact and was registered as a participant in July 2018. This is a voluntary initiative in which companies and organizations act as good members of society by demonstrating responsible, creative leadership and engage in global framework building to shape a sustainable future. The compact was officially launched at the U.N.'s New York headquarters on July 26, 2000. It has participation from more than 13,000 organizations, of which about 8,300 are companies, from 160 countries, and its activities continue to develop.
By putting into practice 10 principles encompassing four categories—human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption—every employee will be involved in fulfilling our social responsibilities as a corporate citizen of the world and promote activities that support sustainable social development.

Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

SBT(Science Based Target) is one of the metrics for GHG reduction targets. A framework that encourages the setting of GHG reduction targets, consistent with the 2°C/1.5°C targets (limiting the temperature increase from pre-industrial revolution levels to less than 2°C and referring to efforts to limit the increase to 1.5°C) called for by the Paris Agreement adopted in 2015.
The Group aims to achieve net zero emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3) by fiscal 2051, ending March 31, 2051.
To achieve this, we established reduction targets in line with the 1.5°C target of the Paris Agreement and will work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our business activities accordingly.
On June 1, 2023, the Group obtained SBT 1.5°C certification, updating SBT 2°C obtained in FY2021.

TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures)

The TCFD(Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) was established under the Financial Stability Board (FSB), an international organization working to stabilize the financial system, and in June 2017 released recommendations calling for disclosure of information on the risks and opportunities posed by climate change. The recommendations stress the importance of companies recognizing the risks and opportunities of climate change and incorporating them into their business strategies.
On June 4, 2021, the Group endorsed the recommendations of the TCFD.

CDP Climate change

The TIS INTEC Group responded to the CDP Climate Change questionnaire, a survey on corporate responses to climate change conducted by CDP(*1), a non-profit organization in the United Kingdom, to disclose information on the Group's climate change activities.
The CDP questionnaire consists of a wide range of questions on governance, risk management, business strategy, goals and performance, etc., and companies are rated on an 8-point scale: leadership level (A, A -), management level (B, B -), awareness level (C, C -), and disclosure level (D, D -).
The Group began responding in fiscal 2019 and achieved a "A-" rating, the leadership level, in fiscal 2022.

(*1) CDP is a non-profit organization established in the UK in 2000, representing institutional investors worldwide who are highly interested in environmental issues, and evaluates and discloses the environmental initiatives of more than 13,000 companies worldwide.

JCI (Japan Climate Initiative)

The Japan Climate Initiative (JCI) is a network to strengthen the dissemination of information and exchange of opinions among companies, local governments, organizations, and NGOs that are actively working to combat climate change in support of the Declaration "Joining the front line of grobal trend for decarbonization from Japan".
The TIS INTEC Group has been a founding member since July 2018.
